A self-styled “accident choreographer,” the Brain (Louis Koo) is a professional hitman who kills his victims by trapping them in well crafted “accidents” that look like unfortunate mishaps but are in fact perfectly staged acts of crime. After one mission accidentally goes wrong, causing the life of one of his men, the Brain is convinced that this accident has been choreographed: someone is out there plotting to terminate him and his team. He becomes increasingly paranoid, walking on the thin line between reality and delusion.

When he is accosted by a mysterious insurance agent Fong (Richie Ren) who happened to be on the scene of the “accident” as well, the Brain becomes obsessed that this man must be the mastermind behind a conspiracy to take him out. To regain his sanity and to save his life, he must strive to kill Fong before he makes his next move.

Mad Dogs Barking Without Teeth Part Two

So, an update. Someone mentioned to me a post on their site:

WAR IS OVER
I just saw that aznr.net is finally translating their own news! Therefore, I shall stop this immature-ness of "war". SEE wasn't that easy? I don't just go around accusing people unless I see it as a problem. So, if you don't like it, don't mess with our stuff. Just mind your own business and we mind ours. Extremely simple.

I hope you keep up your translating and don't 'borrow' our translations. Then we won't have problems. Face it. Translating your own work, more people appreciate you! We all just want to read the news.

Thank you all for supporting, making this more humorous and making our lives less boring. Thank you.

We will end it off here. I don't hold grudges for too long.

Good Luck AZNR.net! I'm sure you can get by very well without us.
============

LOL, this makes me laugh so hard. War? What war? The thing is, she's apparently too thick or refused to realize that she had absolutely NO CASE to begin with. Maybe she just choose to conveniently ignore all those "EVIDENCE" against her stupid, ridiculous accusations.

QUOTE
SEE wasn't that easy? I don't just go around accusing people unless I see it as a problem.

Yeah, you don't just go around accusing people unless you see a problem of someone doing her job much better than you?

This is what you call denial. Refusal to accept that she was wrong, and now she's come to back down with this lame remark.

"Borrow" your translation? Wait a minute, so now I'm "borrowing" instead of "copying," huh? What's the matter, realized your case is too weak to sustain the "copying" allegation?

I stress, I wouldn't even dream of reading, let alone "borrow" it. The quality of the translations is so horrendous that I have to waste more time to actually guess all the meaning correctly.

Look at the accuser's translation: Poorly worded phrase like

QUOTE
She also defends Kevin Cheng, she said that he's leading this week and it will be gradually carried out later, Netizens do not have to rush now to criticize him yet

Leading what? Leading the criticisms? Leading the pack of mad dogs like yourself? Or leading as the main character in the scene?

QUOTE
and it will be gradually carried out later

It? What's the "It"? All I can think of is Stephen King's IT. Carry out what? Carry out murder? Carry out blind accusations?
=================
So, if I actually copied HER translations, not only do I have to rephrase, reword and fix grammar, I also have to find out and guess the meaning of her translation! Lots of extra work for ME! Why would I copy something of so low quality?

And, you don't hold grudges, but I do! Of course, who likes being accused blindly and wrongly? What, you think you can get away with that, and also sending your dogs to come spamming and disturbing our peace? So until you apologize, the world is going to see how idiotic your actions were.

Not to mention some of those members (I have a good idea whom they are) are resorting to desperate attempts to spam my shoutbox with childish insults. This is what happens when one can't come up with logical reasoning and rely on stupid insults that even a five-year-old can do. Maybe they find it too challenging to come up with a decent comeback instead of just barking around like mad dogs.

Anyway, she can say all she want, but it is evident there was no war to begin with. The world can see how stupid her "case" is, as more and more people come to my blog. If she had any decency at all, she should apologize for blindly and wrongly accusing people without any proof.

Mad Dogs Barking Without Teeth

So, in recent days, a couple of mad dogs came spamming in my shoutbox here. Reason? They seemed infuriated at the allegation that I "copied and pasted" some translated articles from an admin at a forum.

Fair enough. But, let's go further and have a look at these so-called copied translations.

Exhibit No. 1
My translation:

TVB series "Burning Flame III" debuted last week with its first episode peaking at 36 points, and has an average rating of 33 points. This made the series the highest rated first episode on TVB since three years ago. Netizens were engaged in heated discussions on the series. Although most gave positive feedback, there are some who criticized the series. Among the criticisms are lack of challenges portrayed in the series, too many flashback scenes, Kevin Cheng's wooden acting.

The producer of the series, Amy Wong accepted an interview and in responding to the criticisms, she said it's hard to allocate an even screen time for everyone in all the scenes, but she will try to do so in future. She also commented that although Kevin Cheng seems to be the lead actor in the series at the moment, there will be other plots regarding other characters slotted in later. Netizens should not be in a hurry to judge him yet.

========================

Exhibit No. 2
Accuser's translation:

TVB series "Burning Flames III" replaced "The Threshold of A Persona" and did not let us down with the average premiere ratings of 33 points on its first week of broadcast, episode one's rating reached up to 36 points. This makes it the highest ratings of first episodes on TVB since 3 years. Netizens have been engaged in heated discussions on the series, although most gave positive feedback, but others say that there are lack of challenges, including too much messy flashbacks, Kevin Cheng also gets named the new "drives customers away" . The producer of the series Amy Wong Sam Wai accepted an interview and responded to the criticisms, she said that it's really hard to accommodate everyone in every scene, but in the future she will try to. She also defends Kevin Cheng, she said that he's leading this week and it will be gradually carried out later, Netizens do not have to rush now to criticize him yet.

========================

See any difference between those two articles? Of course, apart from all the grammar mistakes, spelling errors and poorly worded phrases in Exhibit No. 2, one may notice that (SURPRISE!) these two are entirely DIFFERENT translations.

Look at the accuser's translation: Poorly worded phrase like "She also defends Kevin Cheng, she said that he's leading this week and it will be gradually carried out later, Netizens do not have to rush now to criticize him yet"

Leading what? Leading the criticisms? Leading the pack of mad dogs like yourself? Or leading as the main character in the scene? "and it will be gradually carried out later"? It? What's the "It"? All I can think of is Stephen King's IT. Carry out what? Carry out murder? Carry out blind accusations?

So, if I actually copied HER translations, not only do I have to rephrase, reword and fix grammar, I also have to find out and guess the meaning of her translation! Lots of extra work for ME! Why would I copy something of so low quality?

Let's compare another.

Exhibit No. 3
My translation:

Earlier, Elanne Kong has caused a stir in the entertainment industry by alleging that a male artist whom she once collaborated with had pursued her. This artist was rumored to be Pakho Chau or Ron Ng. Ron Ng was suspected the most because he had helped Elanne with writing her new book.

Elanne will be releasing her new "Little Princess" book on July 22nd and she has invited Michael Tse, Michael Miu and Ron Ng to help her with writing it.

She claimed there was a male artist whom she had once collaborated with, pursuing her. Ron stressed that he is not Elanne's "Lucky Prince" and the two often refer to each other as "brothers". He also said: "Among all the girls I have seen, Elanne Kong is one of the most unattractive ones. She is not pretty, not cute and not that hard working. But she does rely on herself to survive in the industry, and she is also a talented newcomer."

Although Ron was vicious in his statement, his relationship with Elanne was pretty good. He expressed that during their filming sessions, he would often play with her. Once, they used rattan whips to whack each other, running all the way to the costume room.

========================

Exhibit No. 4
Accuser's translation:

Earlier Elanne Kong exposed that she had a male artist pursuer who once collaborated with her and this had become one of the main topics in the entertainment circle. People suspect the artists could be Pakkho Chau or Ron Ng. The person who is most suspcious is Ron Ng because he helped Elanne write her new book. In order to kill off all the suspicions, he strongly stomped on Elanne saying she was "not pretty" and "not cute".

Will be releasing her new "Little Princess" book on July 22nd, Elanne Kong used her entertainment circle connections and invited Michael Tse, Michael Miu and rumored boyfriend Ron Ng to help her out in writing it.

Earlier Elanne exposed that there was a male artist who she once collaborated that was strongly pursuing her, coincidentally Ron Ng was the suspected pursuer. To help a friend and to kill off the suspicions, Ron stressed that he is not Elanne's "Lucky Prince" and the two would often refer each other as "brothers". He also bounced one statement to Elanne: "Among all the girls I've seen, Elanne Kong is one of the most not pretty, not cute and not that hard working girls. But she relies on herself to survive in the industry and also she does have talent as a newcomer."

Although Ron did not spare Elanne a chance, Ron and Elanne's relationship is definitely very good. He expressed that during the time when they were filming, he would often play with her: "One time we were using rattan whips to "fit" each other and we were playing all the way into the costume room!"

========================

So why on earth is that "copying"? Look at Exhibit No. 4 - the fella can't even come up with an appropriate English translation for "fit" (Cantonese word for "whack"). And she said I copied her?!

Don't ask me, there's no logic, let alone reasonable argument for it.

Then the accuser, desperate to keep up with my logic, went a step further and accused me of committing "plagiarism" by the definition she quoted below:

What do I mean by those?
- The Poor Disguise: Although the writer has retained the essential content of the source, he or she has altered the paper's appearance slightly by changing key words and phrases.

- The Labor of Laziness: The writer takes the time to paraphrase most of the paper from other sources and make it all fit together, instead of spending the same effort on original work.

Source: Plagiarism.org

=======================

Haha, okay, that is fine too. Actually, that could have been a reasonable argument. Could have. Except for one problem. A MAJOR problem.

This "Plagiarism" only applies to ORIGINALLY WRITTEN articles. So, let's say if this accuser were to write her own articles, and I took them and para-phrase them to my liking, you could wiggle your finger at me and said, yes, maybe I was guilty of "plagiarizing" by "the poor disguise" and "the labor of laziness" ways.

But, hold on - These articles weren't written by her! Hah, far from it.

Instead, they were merely TRANSLATED by her. So, in other words, the articles that I translated came from the same source.
It then makes sense that both articles would "retain the essential source of content" because, DUH, they came from the same source.

So, you can see, what a big joke for her to rely on that. Simple logic, right? Nope.

It seems that she and a bunch of her mad dogs are too retarded to get it.

She also kept whining about how I went and copied her translated work and then go about "changing a few words."

Well, HELLO? Take a look at those exhibits. Are they just changes of "a few words"? HELL NO, they are completely different! Even a pre-school kid would be able to "spot the difference."

Feel free to keep whining please, and show the rest of the world how stupid and baseless your accusations are. Now you are accusing me solely based on the fact that you translated them first, so therefore, I must have "copied from you and changed the words"?? It doesn't make sense, no matter how I look at it.

You keep whining that I copied your stuff. Well, show me two single sentences that look exactly the same, I beg you. Just one, out of the all the articles you accused me of copying.

What PROOF do you have that I copied YOUR translations and then take the trouble to rephrase all the sentences and use different words, instead of doing my own translations?! See how dumb and illogical your claim is? Here's a tip. The next time you want to accuse people of something, try to come up with some proof before screaming bloody murder.

I guess I'll stop ranting and just let the evidence speak for itself. I don't have to go on, anyone with some decency to take a look at the articles would know what I mean.

And keep sending your dogs to spam here and in my forum. It'll only show the rest of the world exactly what kind of attitude you people have. Your dogs are apparently, so loyal till they are willing to oversee the absolute lack of logicality and reasonableness in your accusations. Wait a minute, I think I even know one of them. Malaysian fella, yes. I know who you are, and if you continue, I won't hesitate to announce your name here, doggy.

Until you come up with some rational logic and proof to back your accusations up, I suggest you quit whining, otherwise, people are going to see just how retarded your actions are. And the funniest thing is, you accused me of copying you when I came up with much better worded translations than yours? How is that possible?

Oh yeah, not enough with that. They stoop even lower, addressing those people who have replied in MY forum to back me up with this message:

Dear So-and-so,

Your leader did not know how to credit the ORIGINAL translator of the news articles. Please do not take her as a role model. You will either get arrested for plagiarism in the academia or you will be sweeping the floors for McDonald's. You do not want to go on these routes. You will not have a bright future.

Your ashamed leader made a mistake. Your forum is now plagued with the label: plagiarism. Please do not get brainwashed by her. She is a wild animal leader.
=======================

LOL. Yes, see how childish she is? How crazy she is? Maybe she's a psycho, I dunno. But to start with accusing people blindly of copying without a single proof and then attack others who backed me up is simply pathetic. Oh yeah, pathetic is more like it. Since she has resorted to pure insults when she finds herself losing to pure reasoning.

If anyone is interested to know the identity of this accuser and the forum, e-mail me and I'd gladly divulge the info.
