Summary:
Barrow, Alaska, a small town above the Arctic circle, is preparing for its annual "30 days of night," a period during the winter when the sun will not be seen. People who don't want to suffer the extended darkness leave for Fairbanks or other parts south. As the town gets ready, The Stranger (Ben Foster), rows ashore from a larger ship, then trudges towards Barrow. Once he arrives, he sets about sabotaging the town. He steals and destroys most of the cell phones, destroys the town's only helicopter and kills all of the sled dogs...

HK Celebrity Lydia Sum Dies at 62
Today, I read a grave news. Another beloved and amazing HK celebrity has left us. She is none other than Lydia Shum (or Sum). Her infectious laughter could lift up your spirits even though you are feeling down, and she was a great show host. Her feisty temper only made her even more outstanding.
Just a few weeks ago, I remembered reading a news article on her, and her family, in particular Joyce her daughter, was reportedly saying that her mother Lydia was doing well. So this news came as a shock for me. Lydia, you will be missed forever.
And here is the news article on her death...
HK Celebrity Lydia Sum Dies at 62
The star had been suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure. She was admitted into hospital in August last year for an operation.
VETERAN Hong Kong actress Lydia Sum, known for her iconic black-rimmed glasses and heavy build, died early on Tuesday, news reports said. She was 62. Shum, possibly Hong Kong's equivalent of U.S. comedienne Roseanne Barr, was one of Hong Kong's best-known entertainers and fondly called "Fei Fei" or "Fatty Shum" for her corpulent physique and exuberant personality.
The cause of death wasn't immediately clear, but Commercial Radio reported on its Web site that Sum had been suffering from a bile duct condition. Radio RTHK reported on its Web site she suffered from liver cancer.
Shanghai-born Sum passed away in Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong.
The star had been suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure. She was admitted into hospital in August last year for an operation.
Affectionately known to peers and fans as Fei-fei, Sum made her movie debut at age 13, according to the Commercial Radio report.
In 1960, she joined Shaw Brothers. Her stardom began with the widely televised TVB variety show Enjoy Yourself Tonight, first singing with the Four Golden Flowers in the 1970s.
She acted in more than 100 movies in Hong Kong and hosted more than 5,000 episodes of variety shows. Kung fu fans will remember her as Yuen Cheung-Yan's dominating wife in the film Drunken Tai Chi. She also appeared as Richard Ng's wife in the all-star comedy Millionaire's Express and in It's a Mad Mad World in a major role.
Sum starred in Mediacorp's Channel 5 sitcom 'Living with Lydia' and her performance in the Singapore programme won her the 'Best Comedy Performance by an Actress' award at the 2003 Asian Television Awards.
It was the first time she had acted in an English drama in her 40 year career.
Sum married actor and singer Adam Cheng Siu Chow in 1985 after 11 years of cohabitation. They had a daughter, Joyce Cheng Yan Yee, in 1987. Eight months after Joyce was born, Cheng and Sum divorced.
Hong Kong leader Donald Tsang mourned Sum's death. 'Hong Kong grew up with her laughter. She brought us a lot of joy,' Mr Tsang told reporters.

Synopsis:
Tung (played by Chou Yu Min) is a popular student at his college. He was initially dating Fan, the college’s Queen, but became attracted to Gia (played by Li Bing Bing) whom he fell in love at first sight.
One day, Gia and Tung had a quarrel and when Tung gave chase to Gia on his motorcycle, he had a car accident and died. After the accident, Gia isn’t herself anymore and relies on medication to control her emotions.
Three years have passed since Tung’s death. Gia has graduated and works as a legal assistant in a law firm. Life is busy but she feels empty. She does not know if it is because of guilt or that she misses him.
Her doctor, Dr. Yuen (played by Roy Cheung) advises her to stop the medication and move on with her life. However, once she stops the medication, she begins to see Tung in her dreams. She suspects that her encounters with Tung are real. At the same time, she realizes that her love for Tung is true and she has never stopped loving him.
At this point, Wu (played by Wong Yau Nam) appears in Gia’s life. Wu is a delinquent who has been sent to the reformatory several times and has no permanent occupation. As Wu admires Gia, he is willing to do anything for Gia and she asks him to track down Tung’s father.
The relationship with his father is one burden that Tung cannot let go even after his death. Their relationship has never been good after Tung was beaten by his father in his youth. They drifted further apart when Tung moved out to stay on his own in his second year of college. Gia discovers that Tung’s father misses his son very much.
At last, Gia frees her true self to Tung and he fades away as they both defeat the affliction within their hearts.
