Synopsis:

Dave (Guo Xiao Dong) is an archaeologist who is mesmerized by the beauty and legend of Yonaguni. He vowed that when he found his future partner, he would bring her to this island and propose to her using an engagement ring which he hid earlier. Through his sister, Siu Kai (Isabella Leong), he got to know psychiatrist, Gao Jing (Angelica Lee) and they fall in love. Acting according to his plan, he brought Gao Jing to Yonaguni and together they dived into the sea to search for the engagement ring. However, tragedy struck and Dave disappeared underwater. The search workers found a headless body but DNA testing were unable to confirm whether the body was Dave.

Gao Jing who was unable to accept this sudden change of events and the disappearance of Dave slipped into a daze. In order to investigate deeper as to what happened underwater, she engaged the help of one of her patients, Simon (Chang Chen). Through his help, she saw things which she were not suppose to know, and strange events started occurring to her, she start to feel things that other people could not. Were these strange events real or just hallucinations, a frightened Gao Jing was not sure either. Hence, Gao Jing went to get psychiatric help from Edward (Tony Leung Ka Fai). Just when things seem to get better, Gao Jing received news that Dave's head was found.

The head was actually found by Siu Kai, who dived into the sea once again. In addition, she also found a video tape which showed that Gao Jing had a part to play in the disappearance of her brother. This cause Siu Kai to face immense stress and pain. The reappearance of Dave's head cause Gao Jing to want to find out deeper as to what happen that fateful day. As if led by an unseen force, she went back to Yonaguni in search of the truth.
