Synopsis

Three cops: Johnny Leung (Lau Ching Wan), Gene Yeung (Louis Koo) and Max Lam (Daniel Wu) are assigned by the Criminal Intelligence Bureau to monitor Feng Hua International’s phone traffic. This is necessary as they suspect the trading company may try to manipulate the Hong Kong Stock Market and to catch the culprits involved.

One month passes by and nothing suspicious has been monitored. One day the cops overheard the management’s ambitious plan to boost the share price. As Gene and Max desperately need money they decide to borrow huge capital from the loan shark and invest in the company’s share. Johnny knows about the plans and decides to keep quiet on the matter since the money has already been converted into shares.

The share price then increases so high that the company’s trading has been suspended and their profits frozen. To solve the problem the trio decides to kidnap the company’s chairman. Their plan runs smoothly and the price goes up again but when they are about to celebrate the price goes down again. The unusual fluctuations prompt the senior police officials to send undercover team to investigate against the trio for any wrongdoings. Can the trio survive and prove their innocence from the investigation?
